“I just bought this product but every time I turn it off it resets its settings back to default. Anyways I can save the settings. I have the base at +4 but it keeps going to zero when I turn it off and back on. Confused.”

You may be disconnecting the power when you turn it off. To be honest, you don't really need to turn it off. it either goes in standby or shuts down on its own when no signal is detected for a sustained period of time....
