“The speakers on my Samsung TV just started rattling and have a lot of static. Will the Soundbar work without using the internal TV speakers? Also, does this Soundbar need an amp or receiver to hook to in order to work?”

• Soundbar definitely works without internal speakers. No subwoofer needed, just plug to your TV using an optical cable or stereo cable

• Yes in your TV's menu settings select external audio output. I don't think theres even a way to use both the tv's speakers and and the tv's internal ones at the same time.
