One option to connect the the tv is by using a toss link cable if you have an older tv. Using Bluetooth can also work if your tv is compatible

It uses an optical cable to connect to the TV, so depending on how old you TV is you’ll want to make sure it has one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This Samsung sound bar is connected to my Sony tv via Optical Digital Audio. So, no you do not need an Samsung tv to connect this sound bar. Although some sound bars have an alternate option of an HDMI (ARC) plug in (like my other one), this one does not. The only inputs it has are Optical Digital and USB.
