It does work perfectly fine via Bluetooth. It definitely gets loud and great sound in the living room however if your area is super large, then I don’t think it will be loud enough for a backyard get together.

As long as there is a power outlet nearby for the soundbar and subwoofer to connect to, you will be able to utilize the built in Bluetooth wireless audio technology to play your favorite music or audio. Please know, this soundbar is not designed for use outdoors or in conditions outside of normal use, that may cause damage to the soundbar. ^Tim
