I'm not sure. I do know you can use the USB port to play music from a portable drive. You could go to www.samsung.com/us/support and ask them.

The UBS port on the soundbar is not used for a connection to the TV; instead, it is used to play music files from a USB storage device or load software/firmware updates to the soundbar. ^Tim
