“Is there supposed to be a display showing what input I’m on? I bought a brand new one and there’s a display window on the instructions but mine isn’t displaying anything.”

Display is on the front of the unit behind the mesh. As soon as you turn the power on you should see the display and it changes when you press the input button on the remote or top of unit
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Cejo - The display window would only show the source or settings when you are using the remote to change or adjust them. Once you have made your selection the display goes away so as not to distract you. ^Cris
