It is set up to vent outside at time of purchase. If you prefer recirculating or have no exterior vent to attach to, remove two screws and simply flip the fan 180 degrees and reinstall with two screws. Easy switch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The access to the fans are from the top center rear of the housing. Three screws to remove. A black one and a chrome one from the top rear and a chrome one from the rear top. Carefully bend the metal stamped door, which was held down by the two top screws, up and forward to a 90 degree angle. Careful! The back chrome screw secures the fan unit from the back. Very carefully, using both hands, without touching the plastic fans, raise the squirrel cage fan assembly straight up. There is a power connector on the front of the fan unit. Now, rotate the cage unit 90 degrees toward the front of the microwave. From the factory the outlet of the fans was facing upward, you could see the fan blades. By rotating the fan assembly forward the blades will disappear from view. Now slowly push the fan assembly back into the hole in was originally in. Don't kink the fan wires. There are 2 white plastic guides on the front of the fan hole. Make sure the fan housing is to the back of those plastic pieces. Reinstall the chrome screw into the back hole it came from. The holes in the fan housing haven't had a screw in them before, so use a little pressure to get the self taping screws started. Now carefully bend the stamped metal door back over the fan unit and install the black and the other chrome screw.
