Glad you asked about the microwave timer. The kitchen timer does not start or stop cooking functions. You cannot set or change the timer if a time-based function is operating (i.e., Time bake) or if Sabbath Mode is enabled.

I have used the timer and the cook timer separately. the prescribed cook times listed on the panel works great. I usually use Alexa for timer or the stove timer if using more than one timer at a time.

Yes. The cook time takes precedence but when that timer goes off the other timer is still counting down accurately.
