Yes, this model is new and made in Malaysia. The door opens by pushing the tab under the door.
This model was introduced around June or July of 2017 so it is new. There is no push button to open the door, instead the right side of the door has an indentation along that side just under the face of the door where you put your fingers and gently pull it open. What this means is that the very front of the microwave needs to stand out from the adjacent cabinet by an inch to make it easy to open. That should not be an issue, though, if you have standard depth cabinets which are a bit shallower than the depth of this microwave.
The door opens on the right. It has an indent to place your fingers on the right side.
