Unless you use your microwave for most of your meals and more often than average then I would do a vented one just for the volume of cooking. If it is used as the average person uses one then non-vented is more than enough.

Rear firing (through the wall), upward firing (through the ceiling/cabinet), or forward (internally filtering through charcoal filters). Hope this helps.
