“Can the ice maker be totally removed and electronics disabled if no water source is available at present location?”

• Yes I do not have the ice maker connected. There is a but on on the fridge to turn it off from working.

• The lower tray can be removed but the ice maker device stays. The freezer is so large that the ice maker is not a big deal.
