“Does the icemaker need to be installed? I know there's a separate SKU without it but I had to purchase this immediately as is. Can I remove the icemaker, or never install it (if it comes uninstalled).”

This unit comes with a built in automatic ice maker. We do not recommend removing the ice maker or altering the unit, as it will void the manufacturers warranty. If you don't wish to use this feature, you can make sure it is set to the off position and do not have to connect a waterline. ^Lo
