“Where does does everyone store taller items? I can only fit a gallon and a half of milk on the door, and another two gallons on the lowest shelf if the half shelf above it is retracted. But then I lose shelf space. Is this a hint to drink more water?”

The shelf next to the ice maker can fold up. You lose that shelf, but if you have a lot of taller items, I found keeping that shelf up gives you enough space for milk cartons, pitchers, and carafes. Not a hint to drink more water. Haha. Just make sure you stay hydrated though.
