Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It should since it'll have to have an inch or more s'pace in the back. They key thing is: The doors have to open wider, just in front of the hinges. We actually trimmed back a wall, to enable less depth., but still leave some space for air circulation. Another key was installing a RECESSED gas hookup box, as our older house had protruding gas line hookup.

If I'm understanding the question correctly 26 1/2" is the measurement from the wall to the back of the open door. It should still work for you, but you'd have to pull the fridge a couple inches away from the back wall. The door just barely clears my counters which are 25" deep. The fridge is about an inch and a half from the wall. All that being said, if you can make it work, this is a fantastic fridge. Good Luck FYI... picture below was taken at bad angle. Measurement is actually 26.5, not 27"
