“I'm curious about about the flex zone drawer. It seems like you actually lose storage space for what is basically a gimmick. Anyone have any thoughts?”

I use the flex zone for soft drinks, beer, and meats and cheese for sandwiches. You can stack a lot of soda/beer cans along the sides of this drawer. This is my go to drawer for quick meals and snacks, and I don't need to open the rest of the refrigerator and waste energy costs. It's like going to a deli-snack bar while watching a ball game or movie. You can make veggie, meat, or cheese trays to fit in there too! I love it!

It's big enough to hold soda's and quick 'grab and go' snacks. I don't think I could go back to a refrigerator without the extra drawer again! It's one of those things that we didn't know existed and now can't live without.

It seemed to clean out a lot of space for us in the main refrigerator compartment. My son is a chef. He hates this refrigerator. Personally my daughter in law loves it. I had the model without that center drawer and found my refrigerator enormous with plenty of room.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what you plan on using it for. We have wine bottles, beer and soda in this drawer and it holds quite a bit. You do lose a bit of storage space, but I believe space is borrowed from both the fridge and freezer.

We keep produce in there most of the time at the highest temp setting, but when we have a lot of people over, we switch to the coldest setting and put beverages there. Overall though, I have had quality issues with this fridge and just posted my review after 11 months I had to get warranty work done on this fridge and my dishwasher.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We love the flex zone drawer since we drink a lot of water and place all of our 1 liter bottles in there. You can put anything is it that you use a lot of so you are not constantly opening the main section.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not a gimmick, but it's all how you use the fridge and what you keep in it. Especially with a counter depth fridge, the drawer is great usable space. We use it for cheeses and meats, as well as beer/soda cans and wine bottles. You can keep fruit or veggies in it; temp is adjustable. Best thing is you can put a wider platter or tray that otherwise wouldn't fit in the main fridge.
