Can you fill up the internal water pitcher with your own water, say from a reverse osmosis system. Then use the external water system to fill a glass with said water. Or will it always fill up the water pitcher using only the water line? null

I haven’t tried using my own water. I suppose if you fill the pitcher and place it back, it might work. The sensor should know that it is full and not automatically refill from the line. Good luck!
