“Why is the water dispenser "spout" so far forward? It totally misses any glass you put in there. I have to hold the glass toward the front and press the back of the dispenser with my hand in order to aim for the glass.”

I had this exact problem. I tried filling up a water bottle and it spilled all over. Have to hold my hand behind the bottle to press on the dispenser pad so it goes in the bottle/doesn't spill. Great fridge overall but truly this is a poor design element. Every glass has to press against the dispenser pad on the back so why not locate the nozzle closer to the pad? That way it would accommodate all sizes. Just dumb...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is a major problem. If you use anything but a large glass, the water quirts on your wrist. A juice glass, forget it. A terrible design. We just got the fridge yesterday. We might return it. It's that bad.
