“I have one of these refrigerators and advertising States fingerprint resistant which is not true, cause on mine you can see all smudges including fingerprints. My question is, once it gets small scratches in it how can a person get these out?”

Hi! I have not had any issues with any smudges, fingerprints or scratches. Were you able to get the protective coating off the unit?
