“my refrigerator has a red light shining and i don't have a owner's manual what could it be?”

• Red light is on to tell you the water filter has used about 300 gallons of water thru it , or about 6 months of use , change the water filter , reset the filter indicator by touching the ice type/water hold 3 sec for filter reset button.
