“How do you know which of the 3 dispenser items (crushed, solid, water) are selected before activating? Does a light stay lit showing which item is activated? I'd hate to get water in my scotch accidentally... :)”

Not to worry about your scotch, the lights stay lit as you might be. The crushed, solid or water are clearly discernible with a blue light. Enjoy!
