“How do you take out the ice maker to get to the ice cubes? Ice seems to melt in hot weather and then freezes as a big chunk in the ice maker thereby stopping the ice makers ability to drop ice.”

There's an upgraded kit for the ice maker, Y-Clips with a plastic bracket. Also remove the ice bucket with a flashlight shine it on the outside in fridge to make sure there's no gaps causing air leaks.
