Ours does the same. If the bottom rack is pulled out it will lay flat.

It’s scheduled for delivery on Friday, I’ll let you know if the door lays flat while it’s open all the way down. To the best of my knowledge dishwasher doors are supposed to lay completely flat while loading them. That is definitely a spring issue. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
