QuestionMy Samsumg RF261BEAESR icemaker initially provided well-shaped cubes. Three months later, there are a lot of shards instead of full cubes. How can this be fixed? Doesvthe freezer tem set too low or too high have nything to do with it? Thank you.

- Answer Are you using the recommended temps that are posted at the top of the fridge where the controls are? You could have a water flow problem. Try a different filter? Sounds like its not filling the ice maker tray thingy completely before it dumps the ice.

QuestionI have read that there are problems with the drain icing up so that water overflows onto the floor and it’s very difficult to rectify the problem (unplugging refrigerator, soaking up all the water, etc). Has this problem been fixed? Thank you!

- Answer It hasn't been fixed. I have had my RF261BEAES for approximately 6 months and it started overflowing as well.

- Answer Yes. It is in the drawer freezer. Does not have a dispenser just an old school container. You just open the drawer and reach in to get your ice. Easy to see how much ice is left also.

QuestionIs there an adjustment switch for the ice maker besides the on/off button? Mine is not making the 3 lbs of ice in 24 hours. The bin is not full. I'm wondering if there is an adjustment switch, and where is it?

- Answer None that I'm aware of. The water pressure at the inlet may affect this. We have decent pressure in the house and it takes about 4 days to fill the tray from empty.

QuestionWill I be able to remove the crisper drawer to clean if the door can only open 90 degrees (next to a wall)? Will I be able to easily access the contents of the drawer? Thanks much for your answers.

- Answer Hi Karmy, You would need to be able to open the doors all the way in order to fully extend the crisper drawers. Page 06 of the User Manual has a useful diagram of the dimensions with the doors open and closed. ^Jecca

QuestionDoes internal water dispenser pre-chill the water or is it tap temp. only?

- Answer I would say that it is moderately chilled. It is certainly cooler than just turning on the tap. But, I will only drink my water SUPER cold, so I always dispense it over ice.

QuestionHi, our doorway opening is 29 1/2 inches. The specs for this fridge show that it is 29 1/4 without doors. Is there anything else that sticks out beyond that measurement (cords, coils, etc.)? Thank you so much!

- Answer Cord and the water inlet fitting, coils are behind a plate that is probably included in the 29 1/4. Sounds like a very tight fit.
