A:AnswerThere are many differences in th deatils. I will guess and say the front water panel is different. Dual cooling fans. Built in door ice maker (nothing is inside..its all in the door). LED lighting. Just to name a few...
A:AnswerLED Tower Lighting refers to the vertical column of LED lights in the freezer compartment of the RS265TDRS. To see what the lighting configuration looks like in this model, click the "Images" button under the main image of the refrigerator, then select "Alternate View 1".

A:AnswerThank you for the question. There are a number of variables that can effect the time needed for the ice bin to be filled, so following are some tips and guidelines for you to use in determining if your RS265TDRS is working properly. If you have just installed your refrigerator, it can take as much as 24 hours for the freezer to reach the temperature necessary for ice production to begin, depending on the difference between your room's temperature and the set temperature; the temperature of the food that's been added to the refrigerator and freezer during the cooling process; the humidity level; and how often the door is opened while cooling. The freezer temperature must be 5ºF or lower for the ice maker to work properly, and Samsung recommends setting the freezer temperature at -2°F. Once ice is produced, you should throw away the first three batches (approximately 30 cubes) to ensure the ice is being made from clean water.
Your Samsung refrigerator should produce about 120 ice cubes per day, which is in line with most manufacturer specifications. If your freezer is producing less than that, make sure the water valve is turned on and consider changing the water filter, since a clogged filter could effect water flow and ice production. To speed up ice production, press the Power Freeze button on the control panel. In the Power Freeze mode, both the compressor and the freezer fan run for 10 hours continuously. The ice making interval is reduced from 90 minutes to 55 minutes. If the ice bucket fills in less than 10 hours, Power Freeze stops automatically.

A:AnswerYes, the icemaker in the RS265TDRS has a "feeler arm" that tells the icemaker to stop making ice when the storage compartment is full.

A:AnswerOther main difference is the number of LED lights.
267 is much more brighter than 265. It has taller tower lights as well as more LEDs at bottom drawer. So total 6 more LED lights in 267. So you can see easily. People say it's worth extra $200 as 265 seems to be dark and when you fill the refrigerator there is less light as all light is coming from backside.
A:AnswerThe ice and water functions on the RSG257AARS can be used without a filter installed, though it's important to have an external filtration system in place to help prevent mineral deposits and debris from damaging the water lines in the fridge. You can simply remove the filter cartridge; no additional part is necessary.

A:AnswerThanks for your interest. You're correct that the RS265TD and RS267TD are very similar, and both have Samsung's signature Twin Cooling. This dual evaporator system cools the fridge and freezer separately and independently, preventing the cold air from the fridge from carrying odors and moisture into the freezer, and, conversely, from bringing dry air into the fridge. Since the humidity level in the fridge remains higher, at about 42-43%, produce stays fresher than in a conventional system. It also contributes to the high degree of energy efficiency. Twin Cooling Plus, which is available in certain other models, takes the humidity story a step further, maintaining a level of about 70%, which helps to extend the life of the produce even more.
The RS267TD does have a few upgraded features compared to the RS265TD, however, including the independently-controlled Cool Select Zone drawer, LED Tower Lighting that extends further down the compartment, and the convenient retractable shelf that allows you to move the shelf out of the way easily in order to store taller items under it.
We appreciate your consideration of both of these models!

A:AnswerThanks for the question. Since it can take up to 24 hours for the refrigerator to cool completely depending on several factors including the difference between the starting and set temperatures in the fridge and freezer, it's possible that the water in the storage tank did not have long enough to cool when you initially dispensed it. The amount of time it takes the water to cool in the storage tank depends in large part on the temperature of the incoming water, as well as the set temperature of the refrigerator. Please make sure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water supply, then wait 24 hours. If the water is still warm, your refrigerator may require service. A:AnswerThe RS265TDRS's Energy Saver button turns off the low-wattage heater that helps to evaporate condensation between the doors; it is not a "vacation mode" setting and does not effect the temperature setting or energy use by the cooling system. Since condensation is more likely to occur in hot and humid climates or seasons, Samsung has given customers the option of turning this heater off to save energy during dryer seasons, like the winter months, or for those who live in dry climates. When Energy Saver is on, the heater is off.
I hope this helps to clarify this feature. Thanks for your interest,
