Hi Haywire,

Although there’s a water pitcher, water is still dispensed through the door. The water pitcher is great for filling coffee makers as well as making flavored water.

This refrigerator has a self filling water pitcher in the door and a water dispenser on the outside. Both are very useful. We use the dispenser for ice and to fill cups and we use the pitcher to fill the coffee maker and sometimes to put on the table. We love this refrigerator.
