48 oz. It fills immediately. takes about a minute or less. Just got it and it seems like the water dispenser only works with the pitcher and when door is closed. Haven't figured out how to a cup or anything else with water.
The pitcher holds 48 oz. The refill time is around 1-2 minutes after the door is closed for a full fill. It will refill after each use replacing only what was taken out.
