Hi Brian! The Q700A is a 3.1.2 channel soundbar that supports a variety of audio codecs including Dolby Atmos & DTS:X. To further your surround sound experience we recommend adding the SWA-9500S Rear Speaker kit that will add rear surround and rear up-firing channels. When combined with the soundbar you will have a 5.1.4 channel set-up. ^Patty
