“Is this one of the cooktops that you have to have certain pans for the burns to get hot? I know some newer ones when you turn the burner on it will not start heating up until the correct type of pan or pot is placed on top of it. Thank you.”

• Excellent question! The type of cooktop that requires specific types of cookware is an induction cooktop. Since this model has an electric cooktop, it will begin heating with or without the cookware.
