• I just use the optical out to the sound bar, blue tooth and aux cable works as well, not knowing the specific tv you have , I ve all 3 options.

• There is no hdmi port just optical and aux. The soundbar comes with the optical cable but not the aux cable

• No HDMI cable needed. If you want to hook it up to other devices you may need more cable. For example, I used auxiliary cord to connect it to my TV and used the optical cord that came with it for my PS4.
