We didn't care or really tell much difference between the 720 and the 1080. Audio is quite good for what it is. We bought the 5205.

We just purchased both. About the same sound quality. 32" maybe a little better but that one is in a credenza so we get a little reverb and the 28" hangs on a wall in our work out room so it doesn't get that boost. I would say that either one is sufficient.
