I just watch the tv. I don't throw anything at it much less darts. I think if the darts have sharp points it will hurt the screen even if you leave the peel-off laminate on. You might use those kids darts with suction cups but it may leave marks on the screen. It will be easier to hit the screen however than your little phone.
