You may make and receive calls with the Family Hub using the Fridge call function as long as you have connected your smartphone with Family Hub through Bluetooth.

I have shared the Family Hub manual below, specific to the model of your refrigerator. Please access the link and select User Interface>Fridge Call to guide you with setting up the fridge call feature.

Concerning text messaging, currently, Family Hub is not compatible with text messaging.
