Hello Critter, I can completely understand how frustrating it would be to only get 8 ounces of cold water. Our refrigerators are similar in the way that they do have water reservoir but I am happy to tell you that ours hold about 2 liters or 67 ounces of water. When the water is used up, you only need about 15 minutes for the reservoir to chill the water again. ^Ty
