This unit does not have speakers, but it does have a 1/8" headphone plug in the back between the power and the video pin (d-sub) connector.

Can even use a wireless/bluetooth speaker, best to hook up a small compac speaker system you can control or a large boomer speaker system if you don't like your neighbors.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I understood that a HDMI cable didn't transmit sound, th s t you needed regular RCA cables to do that, in addition to the video from HEMisphere. But I don't own this monitor yet, that knowledge came from previous experience.
