Water spraying during aggitation? My mom and I both have this washer, purchased within two months of each other. Her machine was delivered today, and she has noticed there is water that comes spraying out into the middle of the drum. This happens after the water has filled normally (coming in through the detergent area), and after the washer starts moving the clothing around. The water comes out of the top, over to the right of the back where the dispensers are (and where the water normally comes out), and is quite powerful. It happens both during the wash and during the rinse. My washer does not do this. Is my washer supposed to be doing this? Or is her washer not supposed to be doing this?

Thanks for the reply. I double checked and we both definitely have the same model (no power foam). On my machine, the only two places water comes out is through the detergent/softener area and the bleach area... and there is certainly nothing that could be described as a "forceful spray" that goes out into the tub. My mom bought the floor model, and so we were wondering if perhaps something wasn't quite right with it. Next time I go down to visit, I'll see if I can get a video of it.

I will watch out for this next time I do a wash but I don't believe my machine does this!!

Thanks for the question. It's possible to have the wash action in two washers appear somewhat different based on the size, weight and contents of different loads of laundry. If, for example, one load requires more water due to its weight, it's possible that the water will be more visible as it circulates over the clothes. That being said, I would suggest you double check the model numbers on the two washers to confirm that they are, in fact, the same since the upgraded WA5471 has some features (such as Power Foam) that the WA5451 does not. - Ms. Samsung
