how many inches across is the bottom of this tv? trying to make sure it will fit on my bureau null

The stand sits under it and my armoire had plenty of space for the 40” set and stand; although I had to angle it in because of the doors. Each mounted on each side which took a bit of the space. But once inside I had plenty of room for this 40” tv which is 1/2 inches smaller than the last 40” Samsung. It is also about 4 inches shorter since the trim is much smaller all the way around the screen.

Note: I can move my shelf that sits above tv making Blu-Ray player and Directv cable box several inches lower. All in all, this set will be great in your 40” space.
