• The stand sits under it and my armoire had plenty of space for the 40” set and stand; although I had to angle it in because of the doors. Each mounted on each side which took a bit of the space. But once inside I had plenty of room for this 40” tv which is 1/2 inches smaller than the last 40” Samsung. It is also about 4 inches shorter since the trim is much smaller all the way around the screen. Note: I can move my shelf that sits above tv making Blu-Ray player and Directv cable box several inches lower. All in all, this set will be great in your 40” space.
