“Hi, I have a triangular shelf that I wish to put a tv on. side to side, the front of the shelf is 40". Can anyone tell me how far forward the legs of this tv will project in front of the face of the tv. I want to use the largest tv possible. thx”

Little less than 2.5”. I also measured the width of the holder itself (the one that sticks out behind of TV) overall from holder till front legs 13”. Basically you will need min 13” wide shelf.
