• Ok. If using both your stove top and oven there's heat still coming from both so the item placed onto the stovetop directly from the oven is ok and safe. I would be careful with a cold stove top though I'm sure the rules of thermodynamics and heat distribution applied here. I have used a dish towel / silicon oven pad between the hot pan from the oven and the cold stove top to prevent any cracks to either pan and top. I use a lot of pyrex cookware to bake so far no breakage.
