A:AnswerShiny stainless steel. Every time you touch it you leave a mark. Its great for finger print testing. I love this stove but you have to get the glass top cleaning kit and apply it before you can use it the first time. If you don't and my wife comes over to use the stove you will be sorry. I didn't know about this issue but now I have a permanent scar. And when I told my wife and her daughter not to slide the pans and skillet across the top well they told me that I didn't know what I was talking about. Now I have deep scratches also. A brand new stove and the first time they used it was all it took.
