• It actually not only is self cleaning but uses steam to self clean.

• There is a steam clean feature, which uses water and takes less time than the traditional "dry" self-cleaning feature. I think this is more environmentally safe, as the fumes from self-cleaning ovens can be toxic, and I was always very concerned about this.

• It has a steam clean function which involves pouring 10 oz of water in the oven and pressing a button. Runs for an hour and then you just wipe out any excess water.
