It actually not only is self cleaning but uses steam to self clean.

There is a steam clean feature, which uses water and takes less time than the traditional "dry" self-cleaning feature. I think this is more environmentally safe, as the fumes from self-cleaning ovens can be toxic, and I was always very concerned about this.
