“The tv connects to our wifi fine but in the middle of watching a movie or show it will freeze and then go to the home page. Is there a fix for this? We’ve only had the tv for less than a week.”

I don’t know, same thing happens with mine. Ordered Superboost to strengthen my WiFi, haven’t received it yet. Hopefully it’ll do the trick. Otherwise, I’ll be calling Geek Squad.
