If you mean your regular network channels, such as channel 2, 4, 9, etc. all you need is an antenna. You have to buy an antenna if you don't already have one and just plug it into the TV. You get the network channels, and Samsung TV as well. Be careful with Samsung TV because some of those ask you to pay to see a movie, etc.

You can connect to your Direct TV via HDMI, or you can download the Direct TV Streaming app and log into your account from there.
