“Does this unit "upscale" HD programing and Blue Rary Discs?”

• I cannot speak to the programming under the hood, however in my experience when looking very closely you can see that the unit is smoothing 1080p (or under) programming in order to fit the increased pixels of 4k. Is there a visible difference between my 1080p TV and this one side by side when viewing 1080p programming? Aside from the improved color clarity, the image does not appear as if it has been transformed from 1080p to 4k.
