Just like with 1080p, it's true dimensions are 1920 x 1080p. Same thing with what you are listing above. 2160 is 4k because the math is 4 times the resolution of HD. I am sure you can find something to explain it better than I can, but 1080 is roughly 2 million pixes, whereas 4K is 8 million
