“Does this TV have Dolby surround sound? The rep said it does but I didn't see it listed on the specifications”

I have not hooked it up yet according to the specs it has Dolby Digital plus to my understanding this is a form of surroundsound. Dolby Digital Plus is based on the original Dolby Digital (AC-3), but it allows for streaming media to present surround sound even with limited bandwidth. That means less dropouts and more options for 5.1 delivery. So far, the biggest problem is with adoption. Many streaming media providers simply don’t transmit anything other than stereo sound, likely figuring most people don’t have a 5.1 system connected to their computers or tablets. Hope this helps
