Jay - You can use HDMI 2.0 port / eARC and have Dolby Atmos. You can use an optical cable and get Dolby Digital Plus, and receive it compressed. However, the TV has the Apple TV built in App and and you can use that and it will do HDR10+, 4K and Dolby Atmos. ^Cris
