• The TV setup parameters allows one to turn them off. Whether they are really "off" and no one is listening, is anyone's guess.

• Hi there, it sure is, if it makes you uncomfortable head to the Settings menu and select Smart Features. Then scroll down to Voice Recognition and switch it off. Thanks! ^Scott
