Would a soundbar improve this TV or isn't it needed null

Hey Seashore, A soundbar is a great addition to any TV as they can provide better clarity for dialog and even enhance your over all move / gaming experience. ^Jason

A sound bar is recommended, but not necessary. The audio options have an amplifier feature you can turn on to increase the overall loudness.
