• Yes , You should be able to download the apps you need. You can delete what you don't use to make room for apps you want .

• You have to add them. I have them only because I have streaming Direct TV. The television has the Samsung TV app, but I’ve not seen an app for the Samsung phone. My IPhone and television are linked together via Bluetooth.
