The one box has all the HDMI connections to it and is the brains of the TV. With that said the box doesn’t have a receiver on it , the TV does. So once everything is plugged in you can hide the one box. I thought I would need to plug in an Amazon stick or Apple TV but this tv does it all! I did plug in a DVD player to the box and an Xbox. Hope that helps
